James B. Thelen is a principal at Miller Canfield, practicing labor and employment law with a concentration in employment counseling, discrimination and harassment issues, labor arbitration, state and federal unfair labor practices, and union activities, including union avoidance and collective bargaining. Since 2003, Thelen has served as chief editor and a contributing author for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce’s Employment Law Handbook: Guide for Michigan Employers.
 
Adam S. Forman is a principal in Miller Canfield's Labor and Employment Group. Forman's practice focuses on defending claims of wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour issues. He also represents management in labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges and collective bargaining. Forman frequently writes and lectures on issues related to email and the internet in the workplace and trains workforces on how to conduct a workplace investigation. He is listed as a Michigan rising Stars 2008 in Michigan's Super Lawyers.
 
Kurt N. Sherwood is a principal and deputy leader of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group at Miller Canfield. He joined the firm in 1986. He is listed in the Labor and Employment Law Section of the 2005-2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, as well as Michigan Super Lawyers in the Labor & Employment Section of the 2006 and 2007 editions.
 
Scott R. Eldridge is an associate at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. His concentration is in employment discrimination and harassment defense, retaliation and whistleblower claims defense (including Sarbanes-Oxley Act claims), Fair Labor Standards Act compliance, OFCCP compliance, labor arbitration, and administrative proceedings before U.S. Department of Labor.
